MONTHLY ART CHALLENGE

DECEMBER PROMPT: CREATE AND SHARE YOUR GINGERBREAD HOUSE

It can be made out of cardboard, gingerbread or candy!

All entries are due Sunday, December 20th via email – minal.desai@gmail.com. Blind voting will be posted on social media.

MONTHLY ART CHALLENGE -- LET YOUR IMAGINATION GO WILD AND CREATIVITY SOAR!!!

What is it?

  • The opportunity for kids to create an art project made with recycled materials found around your house or in your neighborhood based on a theme each month.

Who can participate?

  • Every PCMS student can participate. It can be an individual participant or a group project of not more than 4 students.
  • Parents are welcome to volunteer to help their students.

Requirements –

  • Size – no restriction. You should be able to take a picture that we can post on our poll site.
  • Submission deadline: 20th of each month. A digital version of your work needs to be submitted by the 20th of each month so that we can post on our polling site.

VOTING:

  • All artwork will be posted on a polling site for blind voting.
  • What is Blind Voting? – we will post all artwork without disclosing who the artist is until after the vote is done.
  • Participants can share the link but not disclose which one is theirs.

WINNER:

  • The art with the most vote will be declared the winner on the 3rd / 4th of the next month.

MATERIALS:

  • Materials – your work needs to include the material of the month but not limited to just that. Refer to the list of material.

List of materials – All food materials need to be cleaned.

  • Cereal Boxes
  • Milk Cartons and Plastic Bottles
  • Catalogs, Magazines, and Newspaper.
  • Toilet Paper rolls and Paper Towel Rolls
  • Jars, Lids, and Cans
  • Egg cartons
  • Straws
  • Wine corks or cork
  • Bubble wrap
  • Cardboard boxes or paper
  • Old clothes, pillow cases or sheets
  • Chip bags
  • Buttons
  • Crayons, Markers or Colored pencils.
  • Craft papers, pipe cleaners, scrap paper
  • Old wood pieces
  • Rocks
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Aluminum foil
  • Shopping bags, Paper bags or clean trash bags.
  • Balloons
  • Plastic or wooden clips
  • Duct tape

 These are some of the materials that can be used but not limited to this.
