PTSA OUTREACH

Angel donations needed!
The Angel Program at PCMS is designed to assist PCMS students and families who may need a little extra support making ends meet. It’s confidential and made possible by generous donations from parents and the community. If your family needs immediate help, you can contact PCMS administration: Jennifer Frederick at (425) 837-5903 or email her at frederickj@issaquah.wednet.edu. All communications remain 100% confidential between you and the school.
We currently have a BIG need for clothing as we transition into colder and wetter winter weather. If you are able to contribute, please sign up here. Donations are needed by next Tuesday, November 23rd before Thanksgiving break. They can be dropped off in the PCMS office or mailed directly to the school for your convenience.
If you have any questions, or want to be added to the Angel donation email distribution list, please email Carrie Hipsher. Your support is much appreciated!

FROM THE ISSAQUAH SCHOOL DISTRICT
Step up for Kids with the Issaquah Schools Foundation!
Our school – and every school in the district - benefits from the programs and resources the Issaquah Schools Foundation funds in our school community. From after school homework support and Robotics clubs to Cultural Bridges community outreach and big idea grants to teachers, these vital programs are made possible because of YOU! To ensure these programs continue, we need your help and ask that you Step Up for Kids by donating today. The goal is to raise $214,000 this fall and every donation – whether $5 or $500 – makes a difference! Learn more and donate today at www.isfdn.org.
VOICE Mentor
Make a difference – become a mentor! The Issaquah School District needs volunteers who can support students by meeting with them at school, during school hours, for 30-60 minutes each week. Mentoring differs from tutoring in that mentoring focuses on fostering positive, supportive relationships which help students develop skills and attitudes (such as resilience, self-advocacy, self-confidence, etc.) to promote academic achievement and success in life. Mentors are needed at all grade levels, at all schools in the Issaquah School District (including students at Sunny Hills). Mostly due to the pandemic, over 100 mentors have withdrawn at a time when the need is greater than ever. There are currently over 250 students on the waiting list. Learn more or submit your application through the Issaquah School District’s VOICE Mentor page.
